Personal Development A Powerful Way Of Living
If you are like 97% of americans you do not even know what personal development is. I looked it up in the Webster Dictionary and unfortunately it is not in the book. So I have come up with a meaning for it in my own words.
The meaning of personal development is this "the development
of a person to bring out their full potential and capabilities.
Making them more aware of their inner feelings and belief systems; to become a more conscious human being.
So what does that exactly mean in lamens terms? Well do you realize how much potential you as a human being have? Do you know that we actually only use 10% of our brain potential. (That is kind of scary when you think about it.)
When you begin to understand that it is you who is in control of your thoughts and actions and begin implementing a detailed personal development plan into your life. You will begin to see why it is important and how it not only helps you achieve goals, but also quiets the mind.
In the twentieth century today we are known for the hustle and bustle of everyday life, media is quick to give all kinds of negative stuff on television. There is no shortage of negativity anywhere. If you continue tuning into all the negativity, and neglect to work on your development as a person then chances are you have faced some negativity in your life or are currently facing some challenges. If not then you have become a very negative person and critical of life and can be extremely difficult to live with.
Remember what you believe determines your attitude and your life. If you have been brought up like most individuals with the belief that everything is out of your control; it will take some time to change your belief. With the help of implementing personal development you are on the road to success.
The purpose of implementing personal development into your life is to provide an opportunity for you to learn and adopt methods and ways of being that assist you in creating the life of your dreams.
You must first understand that you are living simultaneously on three distinct planes of being; you are spiritual, you have an intellect and you live in a physical body. To better understand this take a look at three definitions below:
1.) The spirual plane of thoughts (highest potential)
2.) The intellectual plane of ideas (Middle Potential)
3.) The physical plane of results (Lowest potential)
Most people say "seeing is believing" so they only take notice of what is really around them in their environment. That in turn hurts them in the long run, because everything begins with imagination.
Once you implement this way of living into your life you will cease to be like most americans. You will begin to understand that in all things begin with a thought in your mind. Nothing can ever be accomplished without first thinking about it. For example:
The Wright Brothers when they first came up with the idea of inventing flying aircrafts. The thought first had to come into their minds about flying. After they had thought about it and pondered on it for some time finally an idea came into their minds. When they put these ideas into action no matter
how long it took, they then and only then had come up with actual physical aircraft.
People who are unaware of personal development go about life the opposite way; that is to look at a result in their life and dictate their thoughts to build an idea. An example of this is:
If they notice their bank account is empty (result) they will choose to think thoughts of lack and therefore build the idea of poverty into their lives.
How can personal development help you? Well you can begin to become more aware of the thoughts you are holding in your mind. At first this will seem very difficult. When you begin to control the thoughts you are letting into your mind you will see why things are happening the way they are happening in your daily life.
Quit looking at your current results and making them the priority of your life. Understand that the results you have in your life whether wanted or unwanted were brought into your being because of the thoughts you held in your mind. You have the ability to change everything in your life, and personal development will help you achieve it.
There is no one to blame for anything in your life whether good or bad. When you begin to apply the principles of personal development you will learn that you have to take complete responsibility for everything in your life.
I know this is different from what you were taught to believe; we live in society where we are quick to blame others and not take control of our own actions.
"so why should I use personal development you ask?" Well it is totally up to you, nobody is going to force you to do something if you choose not to.
Take a look at your situation right now, do you have all the abundance you desire? Is your health fantastic? Do you have your dream job? Are you living the life of your dreams? Do you have the relationship of your dreams? If so then that is awesome, if not isn't it time things changed for the better?
Consciousness is and always has been developed through thinking and regardless of your present situation in life if you truly desire to tap into the wonders of the universe, you must begin personal development. Open your eyes to the unknown and you will truly experience a life you only dreamed of.
Once you begin the personal development path you will realize your whole behavior will change. You will leave the status quo and enter a new dimension of be, do have. You will encounter an abundance of prosperity awaits you, all you have to do is learn how to ask and you shall receive.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
