Persistence And Motivation Are The Keys To Success

Persistence and motivation are two of the qualities that any successful person must obtain if he/she is to reach any goal that they set for themselves. Without it they are likely to give up at the first sign of challenges and adversity they encounter.

Anyone who is aiming towards a goal has to be willing to do whatever it takes to reach the ends of it. Most people do not even set goals for themselves; it is a sad statistic that only 4% of the populations sets goals for themselves.

With your goals set in front of you on a piece of paper; you have done what most people never take the time to do, which is ask for what you desire. Now that is one of the important steps towards goal setting and achieving; however with learning how to obtain persistence and motivation you will be able to stay on the path towards success.

When first beginning your path you should always begin with a 5 year personal development plan in mind. The reason for this is because you want to be able to set realistic goals for yourself and not attempt to do everything in an unreasonable amount of time. If you set unrealistic goals you will get discouraged and possibly even quit when you fail to reach your goals in your time frame.

Developing Persistence And Motivation

I am a firm believer that in order to develop motivation you have to set goals for yourself that drive you. Whenever you think about these goals thay have to make you feel wonderful.

One of the easiest things you can do is to go out and do the things you desire. If you desire a new car go out and test drive the make and model of the car you desire. Even go as far as to take your picture in the car and place it on your vision board so that you can see it everyday.

Persistence is the direct result of habit. The mind absorbs and becomes a part of the daily experiences upon which it feeds.

One of the reasons people lack persistence and motivation is fear. They fear so many things they develop the what if syndrome:

  • What if something goes wrong?
  • what if I fail?
  • What if my parents think I am crazy?
  • What if my friends laugh at me?
  • What if I run out of money?
  • What if I make a mistake?
  • what if I don't have enough belief in myself?

Believe that you have the ability to achieve whatever it is you desire. What can it hurt to take you belief and make it work for you? Most people have their wiring in their brains messed up. They have decided to doubt the wrong things, such as their potential, the availability of breakthrough opportunities, and their chances to make a quantum leap.

When you work on developing your persistence and motivation you will begin to realize that you possess more potential than you have been giving yourself credit for.

Persistence is to the character of man as carbon is to steel. -Napoleon Hill

The secret to persistence and motivation is to act with faith and go forward like you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. What would you do if you knew you could not fail and you loved more than anything else in this world? Go for it I believe you can do it.
