A Healthy Self Image Is Critical For Success

How Do You Feel About Yourself?

A healthy self image will get you anything you desire in life. You will have the confidence to pursue your goals, and passions. People will give you the respect that you deserve, because you will possess the characteristics of someone who knows where they are going in life.

A healthy self image defines how you see other people and yourself, and also shows that you feel great towards others and others will feel the same towards you as well.

Take a look at your life right now, can you honestly say that you have a healthy self image? Are you ready to begin developing one? Take about an hour to two hours out of your day and find a quiet place, have a pen and paper so you can jot down your thoughts.

Make a list of all the things you like about yourself and a list of things you wish you could change. For example some of the negative things you may write down are: my office is a mess, I always procrastinate, I am shy and avoid people, I don't believe I can achieve my goals etc.

When you are done writing down your list of negative things you would like to change, then turn around and turn them into a positive statement. This is what your list will look like when changed: I always procrastinate becomes I always accomplish everything on time. This is the most important step; because the subconscious will accept this information as being true.

In the list that you wrote about things you would like to change, choose the most important one that you feel you would really love to change. Then begin mapping out a course on how to achieve this. Focus on the change you would like to make, chances are you will find other changes occur as a result of the one change you desire.

For instance if you are a shy person, and would like to get out and meet more people on a daily basis to help you get "get out of your shell." You could set a goal for yourself to join some networking clubs, or you could go to a bookstore and make it a point to talk to at least two to three people before you leave.

Now that you have your new list in your hand of yourself with your healthy self image, spend time regularly visualizing yourself being and doing everything on that list. The mental images will retrain your self image and reinforce your desires. As this becomes a new habit and you learn to make it routine, you will find your images becoming a reality. Because the subconscious does not know what is real and what is vividly imagined.

Set time aside each day to work on your self development. As you do this your strengths will continue to grow and your weaknesses will diminish. Yes it takes time to do everything for success and for you to reach your goals, it is a journey and a journey you should love. However the more you continue this path you will find your self image soar to new heights and your business profits will soar as well.
