Define Personal Development Plan; and how to follow it

"With all the jam packed information about personal development I now love my life!"

I would define personal development plan as a course of action you plan and carry out; when written down on paper you follow it religiously and eventually you will reap the rewards of your goals being realized.

You can write them on paper but I would suggest that you begin a journal and write in it daily.

Define personal development plan as a course of action that takes special planning, first of all you have to decide where you are going and where you would like yourself to be (say 3 years from today.)

When you define a personal development plan it will benefit you if you put it down on paper.

Most people set their goals from according to these categories:

1) Family and Home

2) Financial and Career

3) Spiritual and Ethical

4) Physical and Health

5) Social and Cultural

6) Mental and Educational

If you develop a personal development plan in any of these areas and you get from where you are today and where you would like to be then you will develop a more balanced life.

Good personal development planning will help you achieve your potential as it will help you identify skills gaps and improvement areas.

Then you'll be able to get that job, go for that promotion, build your business further, or whatever you want.

If you missed the mark due to the fact that you did not follow your action plan to the letter, don't punish yourself for it. Just set your new goals and be more determined in following your action plan so that you get there this time.

If you mess up your plan for a day, do not drop the whole thing and quit! I see this very often! If you encounter one of those days, just recover the following day by starting the plan again.

Now that you have goals, go ahead and put your plan into action so that you can go ahead and achieve them

Now that you know how to define a personal development plan; it is time to put it in action...
